If you are an avid listener of The Socially Unstable Podcast, then you might have heard our episode on customer service, and if you haven’t, then stop what you are doing and go listen to that first!
Great! Now that you have caught yourself up, you probably walked away knowing that we think customer service could use a little bit of a revamp. It seems that in 2023, customer service and true sales are dying. It can be nice to have someone that can solve a problem when you need it. It is impossible to be an expert on everything, so you need to know that when you go to buy a product or a service that you are dealing with an expert who can point you in the right direction.
This is very different from someone who is just there to stock a shelf or run a register.
If you want your business to thrive in this day and age, focusing on your customer service is key! This can really come from training your team and teaching them to ask the client all the right questions to keep them coming back to your business over time!
Here are a few reasons why you should focus on your customer service in 2023!
- 60% of consumers say they would buy more if a business treated them differently
- 62% of consumers say that businesses need to care more about them
- 63% of consumers said companies need to get better at listening to their customers feedback
Our world has gone through a few major shifts these past couple of years, and that has left consumers re-evaluating their relationships with businesses. They have more choice and an easier time finding a business that aligns with them and treats them how they want to be treated. Meaning if you aren’t meeting those expectations, you are getting left behind!
Every interaction you have with a potential customer should feel like a one-on-one experience. When you can connect with people, you build a better relationship, and this helps them feel fulfilled and get the answers they are searching for.
