7 Apps to Elevate Your Social Media

Social media is an extremely powerful tool for businesses to reach out to their audience and potential customers/clients to gain attention and build relationships. Today, whether you are a small local shop or big national company, it is essential that your business is utilizing social media in some capacity. Out of all of the reasons why you need a social media presence, my favorite is that it humanizes your brand. The very first thing I do when I see a new business is head to Facebook or Instagram to see what they are all about.

In order to establish a true connection with your followers, you need to embrace your brand values and display those effectively on social media. However, it can be detrimental to your brand if you aren’t putting in the effort. You will see your social media thrive if you are giving your audience value and focusing on being a resource to them. Another thing to keep in mind is the quality of content that you are putting out into the world. That again shows the effort and dedication you are putting into your business.

I understand that it can be hard to find the time to make sure you are always putting your best foot forward on social media, so here is a list of 7 apps you can use to elevate your social media presence in a time-efficient way!

  1. Lightroom

Speaking of quality of content, everyone strives to have professional-looking photos. Lightroom is a great app to use to edit your photos to give them a high-quality look on the go.

  1. PicsArt

I like to use PicsArt to add fun graphics or elements to your posts. If you see photos that have icons or design elements but you aren’t a pro at design programs this is a user-friendly program!

  1. SwipeMix

SwipeMix is a fun tool to use for horizontal/landscape images. It creates a swipe-able, panoramic layout for the Instagram carousel. Meaning, when you swipe over it’s one full photo. Check out this post to see it in action!

  1. CutStory

On The Socially Unstable Podcast, we have talked a lot about utilizing Stories. They are a great way to connect instantly and authentically with your audience. However, stories are limited to 15-second clips, so if you have longer videos you would like to share CutStory will automatically cut your video into 15-second segments and save those to your camera roll for an easy upload process.

  1. Repost

On almost all social media platforms, you can repost or share other user’s content, but not on Instagram. Repost allows you to share your friend’s content or anyone else you see fit on your own feed. Don’t go too crazy with this one because you don’t want your feed filled with other people’s content to maintain the integrity of your page.

  1. Snug

Planning out your content is one of the best things you can do for your marketing strategy. Planning lets you stay ahead of the game and not fall behind on your posting schedule. Snug is one of my favorite planning apps. I use this for my own Instagram feed. It lets you move around your different pieces of content to see what will look best next to each other or so that you aren’t putting out two pieces of content next to each other that look too similar.

  1. Buffer

Last but not least, use Buffer to schedule your posts so you never miss a day. We all get busy and caught up in what we are working on, it’s easy to let posting to social media slip by. To take that part off your plate use Buffer to schedule in advance to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more!
