Goals are something many of us are somewhat accustomed to. I mean, I am sure you set a few goals for yourself for the start of the new year not too long ago. We all know how powerful goals are in helping us manifest and achieve our dreams. Just how you set goals for yourself, your business, your relationships, and everything else in your life, you NEED to set goals for your Facebook advertising too!
We talk about how beneficial Facebook advertising is in this day and age all of the time, with their low cost per click and the increase of website traffic and engagement. But in order to truly take advantage of those benefits, you have to set standards to measure your success.
Straight from Facebook’s (mouth?) they say that their ads work best when you focus on what you want to achieve. By setting clear objectives that match with your goals, you are setting yourself up for continuous growth and a great price!
There are many people that will start using Facebook ads and when the campaign ends they feel like they were a waste of time because they didn’t set SMART goals for their business. Something we always do before deciding what type of ads we want to run for our clients is setting our goal.
Once we’ve done that, next we focus on what would make this goal successful. If the goal is to increase web traffic, we think about how many clicks in a month would be good for that particular client. This number will also be different and specific to each client. From there, we know what we are shooting for and then can see if it was successful or not at the end of the month.
When you don’t do this, it doesn’t matter how many clicks you got, you won’t think it was the right amount because you didn’t define what you hoped to reach for or push for.
